C.D.T.A. Life Membership Award
Lorie-Gay Drewitz-Gallaway received her Life Membership from the Canadian Dance Teachers' Association on September 19th, in Saskatoon, for 30 years of service to the CDTA.
Lorie-Gay became a Member in 1979 through the Stage Division, and was named Saskatchewan's youngest Examiner in 1985. She worked to implement the Ballet Division into the province 1989 and served on the National Board as Saskatchewan's Representative. She was one of five Members from across Canada who worked to create the new Ballet Syllabus Curriculum for students and teachers. Lorie-Gay was named Saskatchewan's first Ballet Examiner in the CDTA in 1996 and granted Honourary Membership in 2002 for all her work with CDTA in Saskatchewan and across Canada.
She is prresently Chairman for the Ballet Examiner's in Saskatchewan and is the
CDTA National Syllabus Consultant for Canada.Lorie-Gay owns and operates the Drewitz School Of Dance in Estevan where she has taught for the past 28 years.
