BALLET EXAM RESULTS

Students from the Drewitz School of Dance in Estevan, under the direction of Lorie-Gay Drewitz-Gallaway, ARAD recently received their results from London, England.

A new RAD curriculum is being implemented in the next few years. It is slowly taking effect in Professional Dance Studios worldwide. The new Marking System and Medals are now introduced for each Grade in Bronze (Pass), Silver (Merit) and Gold (Distinction). With Ballet being the fundamental discipline in dance, children are encouraged to participate in examinations which are an individual goal for them.

Students are now being strategically marked in all specified areas: Technique, Posture, Musicality, Presentation, Character, and their Dances are now graded. The standard required to pass is world-wide throughout all countries. Examinations for this session were for students Grades Primary to Eight and Fall and Spring Vocational Exams.

This Spring’s Children’s Examiner was Mrs. Loretta Beamish-Lachner from Kelowna, British Columbia. The Vocational Examiner for Spring exams in Regina was Mrs. Fanny Ko from Toronto, Ontario and Fall being Recently received results are as follows:
         

PRIMARY GRADE:

• Distinction – Lindsay Mack, Kerison Burnett, Tyann Babyak, Zoey Wilson-Elliott, Scarlett Mercer, Jaycee Neff, Kennedy Northrop, Kylie Paterson, and Abbigail Duke
• Merit – Rya Strilaeff, Emma Morhart, Ekko Sanguin, Audie-Rae Richardson, and Alexis Paton

GRADE ONE:

• Distinction – Randi Milbrandt, Ariadne Nagel, Marley Nashiem, Yana Ponomarenko

RAD VOCATIONAL EXAM RESULTS:

Vocational Ballet Exams were held in Saskatoon in November. Examiner was Isabella Yuan of Toronto. Marks were as follows:

• Advanced II - Merit – Hunter Hildebrand

Vocational Ballet Exams were held in Regina in March. Examiner was Fanny Ko of Toronto, Ontario.

• Intermediate - Merit -Kelsey Romanyk, Reese Handley
• Pass- Mia Hanson,Tamira Krall
• Advanced Foundation - Pass - Kia Rosenbaum, Madison Frehlick
